This was recorded by The Gramophone Company of India before World War and released in 1910. It was recorded on 78rpm gramophone record that is now a history. The voice belong to Achhan Bai. The price of that record was 4 annas (then 16 paisa and now 25 paisa) and now it is priceless.

Mohammad Bandi - Holi (1907)




This HORI is one of the rare record which were recorded by The Gramophone Company during 1902 - 1908. At that time there were dancing girls who lived on the patronage of Kings, Landlords and other rich and influential people of the society. They were called "LAUNDI" Many of that voices were recorded by The Gramophone Company. There was a tradition to pronounce their name at the end of the song. One of the dancer singer was Mohammad Bandi. This was one of the rare song that she recorded for The Gramophone Company.
